These beans went along with a slider meal I made and they are a meal in themselves...and healthy...and easy! I will absolutely be making these again and will also use this recipe, or a version of it, for other beans.
Ingredients
1 white onion, chopped
2 Tablespoons garlic oil..or another oil
1 pound cranberry beans
1 bottle or can of beer (12 ounce)
4 tablespoons of hot sauce...your choice
4 cups chicken broth
2 jalapeno peppers chopped and seeded
8 cloves of minced garlic
2 teaspoons oregano
1 tablespoon cumin
salt, ground black pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste
Directions
In your pressure cooker...use saute function and add oil...then saute onion and garlic for about 2-3 minutes.
Then add beans, chicken broth, beer, jalapeno peppers, hot sauce, oregano, and cumin and other spices
; stir to combine. Then cook per manufacturers recommendations...usually around 30-40 minutes.
Looks Yummy
Yummy, will have to try these.
