Instant Cranberry Beans

These beans went along with a slider meal I made and they are a meal in themselves...and healthy...and easy! I will absolutely be making these again and will also use this recipe, or a version of it, for other beans.


  • 1 white onion, chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons garlic oil..or another oil

  • 1 pound cranberry beans

  • 1 bottle or can of beer (12 ounce)

  • 4 tablespoons of hot sauce...your choice

  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 2 jalapeno peppers chopped and seeded

  • 8 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons oregano

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

  • salt, ground black pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste


  • In your pressure cooker...use saute function and add oil...then saute onion and garlic for about 2-3 minutes.

  • Then add beans, chicken broth, beer, jalapeno peppers, hot sauce, oregano, and cumin and other spices

; stir to combine. Then cook per manufacturers recommendations...usually around 30-40 minutes.
