Garlic Crab w/Shrimp Salad
Had to take advantage of Dungeness crab season and added some bay shrimp to a salad Tamera and made and it was fantastic. Soooo here we go!
FOR THE CRAB
3 large cooked crabs. I always buy them already steamed..but you can steam em whole too
4 Tbsp of minced garlic
1/2 minced white onion
1 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
3/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro leaves
Red pepper and chili powder to taste
FOR THE SHRIMP
3/4 pound of bay shrimp
2 Tbsp of vegannaise oy mayonnaise
1 Tbsp of Cocktail Sauce
1 Tbsp of creamy horseradish
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
For the crab...make sure the legs are broken off and the body is split into two. Obviously clean the crab first. Then add the ingredients into a large bowl and mix for a few second. Add the crab after the ingredients are mixed and toss, toss and toss....really make sure the oils and spices get all over the legs and into the crevices of the crab.
Put the crab onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10 mins. NO MORE than 10 mins! It'll be perfect to serve!
For the shrimp...on a medium sized bowl add all the ingredients minus the shrimp. Whisk together and the add the shrimp and mixed it all together carefully as to not break up the shrimp. Then spoon onto the top of a salad and serve!!
